My little Jasmyn never seems to amaze me with her creativity. She can see things that most people don't even catch. Like if we are watching a commercial on tv and there is a little bird in a small little picture hanging on the wall behind the actor selling something, she will yell out bird and it takes you a minute to register what she is talking about. This is a box of my scraps that I have sitting on top my dresser in the bedroom. Jaz was sitting on the bed watching tv when she yells out "COW". I looked at her and then the tv and said, there is no cow. She said no "COW" and pointed to my box of scraps. After I got to looking at it, it does look like an abstract cow!

The Creative Mind of a 3 Year Old
My little Jasmyn never seems to amaze me with her creativity. She can see things that most people don't even catch. This reminds me of a funny story... friends of mine had their three children in the back seat and noticed there was a lot of giggling and general turmoil going on... the mother looked back to see what the fuss was about and saw they had a polaroid photo. The children said one had picked it up in the street in front of their house as they were getting into the car. Because they were giggling so much she asked to see the picture. It was of a naked man and was very dark and grainy so all she saw was just the naked man. She asked the children again about exactly where they found the photo, etc. as she told them it was naughty and that they should have given it immediately to her... etc etc. The husband asked to see it, glanced at it, and said something sorta dismissive and commented that it was so dark you could barely tell the man was naked. The mother jumped on him and said, "Bob, what if someone picked up that picture in front of OUR house and thought it was you? How would that make you feel?" Before he could answer, the 5 year old popped up and said, "Oh, mommy, that COULDN'T be daddy... we don't have a TV like that one." Her two brothers chimed in and agreed it couldn't be their daddy... blah blah blah. She said she looked and looked and said if she held the photo just right she could barely make out the outline of a tv in the background... lol. We thought it was so funny they'd all three seen the TV... and neither of the 3 of us saw the TV. (She'd shown me the photo and, before telling me the story, asked if I noticed anything unusual about the picture... and, of course, all I saw was a naked man... lol.)
