There was an nice article in the Sunday paper today about craft swaps. There were three websites listed that I just had to check out. They are really cool so I thought I would share them with my fellow crafters. Check them out!

Cards That Need Extra Postage
I thought I would post this on my blog as a quick reference to figure out postage on greeting cards using USPS. This was taken straight from their website. http://www.usps.com/all/mailingandshippingguidelines/postage-for-cards.htm?from=holidayhome&page=infoextrapostage
Is it square?
Square cards cost 17¢ more.
Because square greeting cards won't flow through standard postal sort machines, we charge a 17¢ nonmachinable surcharge to handle these special cards. So, you'll need a total of 58¢ in postage.
As well, square greeting cards more than 6 1/8" tall are priced as large envelopes. To determine how much postage you need use the USPS.com rate calculator and pick "large envelope" as the shape of your mailing.
Does it weigh more than one ounce?
The heavier the card, the more is costs.
Musical cards often weigh more than one ounce, and therefore cost a bit more to send. If your card is standard-sized, just weigh it and see how much postage you need.
1-2 ounces 58¢
2-3 ounces 75¢
3-3.5 ounces 92¢
If your card is also square, there's also a 17¢ nonmachinable surcharge.
And, finally, if it’s taller than 6 1/8", longer than 11 ½", or thicker than ¼" you’ll need to calculate the rate for a large envelope

Kiddies are so fun...
[caption id="attachment_278" align="aligncenter" width="452" caption="Stuffed Animal Train"][/caption]
My girls made a stuffed animal train in the hallway last night. It was so cute that I had to share. They made a perfect line of stuffed animals and was so proud of it. By the way, thats my new floor that is getting installed thanks to my FIL. Doesn't it look great, it's so perdy!

I used metalic card stock and dry embossing along with DCWV papers and Bazzill Bling Cardstock. Swarovski crystals are used on the reindeer on the outside and inside of the card to embellish the reindeers collar. I used metalic gold ink to embellish the tag on the inside of the card.

Birthday Princess Layout 2007
Here is a layout that I just made of pictures of my girls birthday from last year at Aunt Jen's house. I know, little slow getting around to scrappin'. Better late than never right? Anyways, they got these cool dress up outfits from Aunt Mo that were Disney Princess and they had a blast trying on the clothes.
