The Things Kids Do In Weddings...

Ok so it has been a very busy couple of weeks for me and the fam so I haven't been scrapbooking much. I'll have a few things on ebay later this week. My husbands sister just got married over the weekend. We did the wedding maps, candy boxes and programs...I'll post pics later. We all crashed hard come Sunday when it was all over and unfortunately we all were sick too but that's ok it really didn't hit us until late Saturday night when all the festivities were over so I was thankful. We had the most awesome time we have all had in a long time. My girls were flower girls along with 2 other adorable girls. The oldest flower girl was the most precious, she acted like the big sister to all the flower girls. She helped all the other little girls and played with them. My girls had such a blast. Friday was the rehearsal and dinner. They rehearsed the ceremony twice. The first time everything went great but on the second take, my youngest, Lilly, decided to be stubborn and didn't want to walk down the aisle with her sister. All the other flower girls went but Lilly refused. She wanted to walk with Aunt Jen (the bride) and Grandpa. And of course, she got what she wanted. It was adorable but I worried that she would do the same thing on wedding day. And of course, she did. But the maid of honor, Aunt Mo, quick on her feet, went down the aisle and walked Lilly up. You never know what kids are going to do in a wedding. It was cute but I wish she would have walked with sissy like the first time in rehearsals. That would have been some cute pics of them two throwing petals together. Anywho, at the rehearsal dinner all the flower girls got gifts for being a part of the wedding. I just thought these were the best gifts I have seen and wanted to share. They are bride barbie dolls! They have a tiara and veil, bouquet of flowers, and a ring that lights up. Isn't this the greatest gift for a flower girl! The girls played with them all night and still play with them every day since. My sister-in-law aways finds the most perfect gifts. It amazes me. She should be a professional shopper for people.

If you have a funny or not so funny story about what you have seen kids do at weddings, I'd love for you to share. Post a comment and tell your story.
